Rebuilding: A Brand Identity Split in Two
Rebuilding approached us to create a unified but flexible brand identity for their two centers:
Rebuilding Recovery Center
Rebuilding Mental Health
The challenge? Both centers needed to feel unmistakably connected, yet distinct enough to stand on their own. At the core of the brand was a logo: a clean, modern circle with gentle, wave-like lines. With this as our starting point, we built a system that felt light, calming, and human, like a breath of fresh air.
The Approach, Process, and Outcome
With nothing but a logo in hand, we crafted a full brand experience that’s as useful as it is beautiful.
Our guiding terms: clean, modern, approachable, and uplifting.
Color as Identity:
Rather than building two separate visual identities, we used color to differentiate the centers while maintaining a cohesive system. Both brands share the same typography, layout structure, and photography style.
Rebuilding Recovery Center uses a palette of Columbia Blue (#D3EDF7), Light Sky Blue (#99CCFF), Azure (#007FFF), and clean whites.
Rebuilding Mental Health features Brunswick Green (#004739), Light Cyan (#C8DEDC), Lemon Lime (#F4FF48), and soft whites like Floral White (#FBF8EF).
We chose Altivo, a modern sans-serif font with a soft, friendly tone that pairs perfectly with the brand's approachable aesthetic.
Curved corners and generous white space make the site feel airy and inviting. We avoided visual clutter and instead focused on intuitive flow and digestible content.
We leaned into candid, natural photography, steering away from sterile, stock imagery. The result is a brand that feels lived-in and real, rather than coldly clinical.
Hero Toolbar Feature:
We designed a custom toolbar placed prominently in the hero section of each homepage. This gives users quick access to:
Helpful self-assessment quizzes
Social media channels
Blog articles
Google Maps for finding the centers
This small feature added tremendous functionality, guiding users to high-value resources right from the start.
The new Rebuilding brand is soft yet confident. It holds space for vulnerability, progress, and healing without ever feeling heavy. We were able to deliver two distinct websites that speak with the same voice but reflect their individual focuses.
This transcended mere branding and became a welcoming tool to make people feel safe, supported, and seen.
